NovaLipids develops and manufactures liposome-based vaccine and drug delivery systems. The Company is committed to becoming a premier supplier of lipid-based delivery systems to key pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. NovaLipids core competency lies in the development of customized lipid-based delivery systems for vaccines and drugs.
NovaLipids is a privately held company based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Dr. Kevin Keough and the Genesis Group Incorporated, the technology transfer arm of Memorial University of Newfoundland, founded the company in 1998. Novalipids team has been developing liposomal encapsulation technology since 1988 as carriers of vaccines and drugs for high value companion and food produced species. A patent application covering the vaccine technology is being prosecuted in two of the largest markets for aquaculture, Norway and Chile. Presently, NovaLipids is also performing extensive research and development activities focused on applying the technology to human health products.
The Company’s research, development and production facilities are located at 297 Mount Scio Rd in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
